It is not easy to suffer from the disease of being shy. It is a disease that needs to be fought everyday, no matter what the challenges.
Some days will be better than others, some will be worse.
Just gotta keep fighting and stay strong. Whatever happens next at least I know I tried my best today and gave it my best shot.

Nativity - A Film Review
This was a film I was interested in seeing as it was filmed at in my home town of Coventry and was also filmed at my old primary school.
It was a cute quirky film with good performances from the schoolchildren. However there really wasn't much else to this film and it was stupidly far fetched at times.
However if you want a no brainer Christmas film to watch with the family, then this is probably suitable fayre.
Two stars

The Switch - Review
The Switch is about a woman who decides to have a child through a sperm donor and who's best friend decides to swap it with his own.
This film was not quite a comedy and not quite a drama. But it worked for me.
The acting was fine, but there was a scene stealing performance from Thomas Robinson who plays Jennifer Aniston's son.
It will not be everyone's cup of tea as it has a quirky undertone. But worth a watch.

Cough cough cough...
I was starting to believe flu jabs worked after getting off quite lightly the past couple of years.
I am now stuck here in my pyjamas (at 2.30pm) with tissues and blanket coughing and sneezing away. The cats are seriously taking advantage of my drowsy state.
The only plus side is I do have a few chick flicks stacked up to watch and sick days are the only ones where you can spend all day in your pyjamas guilt free.
Fingers crossed I recover for the weekend.

From Paris with Snow and Ice: Part Deux
On arrival at the Louvre there is half a foot of snow on the ground and a queue two hundred deep to get in. We realise we have made a mistake and head back to the coach with our tale between ours legs and rejoin the tour.
Lucikly we did as the next stop was Montmartre and this area was beautiful. The view from the Sacre Couer was amazing. Although Paul was charged 7 euros for a coffee at a local cafe.
We skipped out on the group meal and went to a lovely little Italian restaurant. It was very nice.
We finished the day with a lovely river cruise down the Seine. Strangely the boat tour was arranged after dinner. Quite a few of my fellow passengers were quite drunk from dinner and smuggled out wine from the restaurant. As a non drinker it was quite entertaining to listen to their rambling life stories and past indiscretions.
The next morning we were all ready on the coach ready to go to Versaile before heading home. Two of our fellow passengers delayed us as they were still asleep at our scheduled departure time. The manager of the hotel had to enter the room and wake them up. They looked mortified when they got on the coached and very hungover. It was apparent they had not had time for a wash in the rush.
At Versaille we looked around the grounds of Marie Antoinettes chateau. It was stunning. We then went to the local market where I was horrified to find fresh lobsters waiting to be boiled alive and skinned rabbits. I was not pleased.
It was still bitterly cold and I was put off french cuisine after the horrors of the market, so we went to mcdonalds. Funnily enough at least 20 other members of the coach party where holed up in there too. we must of all had the same idea.
Once on the coach we started our journey back to Blighty and to turning the big 30 the next day.
In reflection I loved Paris and definitely want to return one day. In the SUMMER and not when there is snow and ice.

From Paris with Snow and Ice
I have travelled through France a few times and have been on a couple of day trips to Calais, but never to the capital Paris.
After setting off at 2am and meeting our coach we travelled through the night to meet the ferry in Dover. With all the bad weather chaos I expected there to be massive queues at Dover, but our fears were unfounded. We arrived in time to catch the earlier ferry.
With the early start I slept most of the way to Argenteuil where our hotel was based. It was a basic hotel in a paris suburb. I was not very impressed, the room smelled of smoke and was not very clean.
We then went for a short wander (to find a cash point, as we were so unorganised and had no euros) and then left for our evening tour of Paris. It was beautiful, the Eiffle Tower took my breath away. It was absolutely freezing.
We opted to take the five course meal our tour guide had arranged. I thought for 70 euros it would be nice. It was not!!! I have wanted to try a parisian beef borgenuine since I watched Julia and Julia and was very disapointed with the processed crap that was dished up.
The next day we had a packed itinery of sites to see. We visted Eiffle Tower, Napoleans Tomb, Arch De Triumph and the place where Princess Diana died. Then the heaven opened with snow. Our tour guide had claimed not to have seen snow like it in 30 years.
We visted Molpanass Tower and went to the viewing platform on the 56th floor. You are supposed to see a view for miles around. Unfortunately the snow storm cut the visibility and it was like looking through frosted glass.
We told the tour guide we would not be continuing with the tour in the afternoon and would do are own thing, as we wanted to visit the Lourve. We trekked the half mile walk from the drop off point to the Lourve through the heaviest snow I have seen in years.

As my someone said we should patent football as we invented it and ban the rest of the world from playing it. That will soon get Sepp Blater changing his tune.

Keep fingers my hols does not have to be cancelled.
Another thing about snow is a flake starts to fall and the commuter panic begins (My mother has refused to leave the house sine last Friday!!!). Funny I got home five minutes quicker tonight. Strange how it turns out sometimes.
